Founded in Pontevedra, Galicia, Verb to Do is an accessories brand that launched just before the pandemic with a clear and unwavering commitment to sustainability. Every single product in their range is made from recycled fibres, mostly sourced from plastic bottles rescued from the oceans.

A brand born from a bold idea

The two founders, both in their mid-thirties, had been working as sales representatives for various fashion brands in Galicia when they spotted a gap that no one seemed to be paying attention to — a basic winter accessory with huge potential that the market was largely overlooking. They saw international brands including a couple of token styles in their collections, but felt the product could be both much better and much more sustainable. 

That realisation became Verb to Do — a brand that set out to prove that sustainable accessories could be just as desirable, comfortable and design-forward as anything else on the market.


The material that makes the difference: REPREVE®

In 2019, the founders partnered with REPREVE®, an American company that collects plastic waste from the ocean and transforms it into new fibres for the fashion industry. This partnership sits at the very heart of everything Verb to Do makes.

Every product is made with the goal of offering more sustainable alternatives to what currently exists in the market — avoiding accessories that scratch, pill or feel uncomfortable, while also giving a second life to the materials used in their production. 

The result is a range of accessories that feel luxurious, perform exceptionally well and carry a story worth telling with every use.


Design that speaks for itself

Verb to Do's approach to design is anything but an afterthought. Their collections have evolved from their origins in bold check scarves with phrases, towards more voluminous, technically crafted pieces with original designs and a sustainable conscience. 

Their scarves — still the flagship product — are a statement in their own right. Some pieces are generous enough that they could double as a blanket, and the wrap concept allows them to be worn in multiple ways: as a classic scarf, a shawl, or an enveloping outer layer. 

Examples from the collection include the Bufanda Puffer Vertical, made from recycled nylon and polyester with post-consumer fibres, delivering a polished finish with real thermal protection, and the Born to Shine maxi scarf, crafted from certified recycled fibres that feel as soft as fleece despite their warmth.
