OT leather undergoes a mechanical pounding process that makes it fine and supple. Tanned in Brazil, it uses fewer dyes than our conventional leather. VEJA sources its OT leather from the Uruguayan Pampas, a region renowned for the quality of its leather and cattle breeding. The cattle used for OT leather are not raised in deforested areas and are not exposed to pesticides, GMOs, chemical fertilizers, or antibiotics.

The use of a washing machine is formally discouraged, as this may alter the properties of the different materials.
Before the first port, we advise you to waterproof your shoes with a spray adapted to the material and repeat this operation periodically.

Since 2005, VEJA has been creating sneakers differently, combining social projects, economic justice and ecological materials.

The manufacture of different sneakers

Since VEJA's inception, its sneakers have always been manufactured in the same place: the state of Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil. Over time, a true partnership has developed between the brand and the assembly plant.

Upcycling

Upcycling consists of recycling materials or products that have fallen into disuse to turn them into higher quality or more practical products.

Plastic bottles, recycled cotton from textile industry waste, recycled polyester: our recycled materials give a second life to household waste and allow us to create a range of fabrics according to the season and their destination.
