Plug the base into the mains and turn on the bulb with the switch.
Place the bottle on top of the base with the part containing the wax above the bulb.
Place the lid on the neck of the bottle.
Allow to heat until the wax begins to flow. Do not turn off during the first use until the wax has completely flowed, as turning it off may cause some of the wax to remain at the top, making it difficult to heat up during subsequent uses.
During the first use, the lava takes between 3-5 hours to heat up and for the wax to start flowing. On subsequent uses, the lava takes less time.
The time it takes to start flowing depends on the ambient temperature; optimal use occurs in a room between 22 and 25ºC.
Do not touch any part of the lava lamp while it is lit or has just been turned off. The lamp reaches very high temperatures in order to function.
