RESPONSIBLE AND SUSTAINABLE TOURISM POLICY

BORNISIMO is aware that being part of a sustainable and responsible tourism development requires dedication and clear strategic lines, which is why it has committed to the principles and objectives of the 2020 Strategic Tourism Plan of the city of Barcelona, which is related to the responsible tourism policies of other entities such as: the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, the global agreement against climate change of COP 21 and the New Urban Agenda of Habitat3.

Our company seeks to prevent, reduce and/or eliminate the secondary negative effects that our commercial activity may have on our social, economic, environmental and cultural environment, which is why we have the sustainability certificate granted by BIOSPHERE TOURISM.

Following a manual of good practices and establishing continuous improvement plans, BORNISIMO seeks to create a greater sustainable community through the training of its workers and the dissemination of information addressed to its clients.

This Responsible and Sustainable Tourism Policy will be updated, as well as the other necessary documents, whenever necessary to meet our objectives.

The company meets its responsible tourism objectives by monitoring the following parameters:

  • Be in constant concern for the conservation and improvement of cultural heritage. We do this through different actions such as preferring local artists when incorporating new suppliers, among other things.
  • Continue contributing, to the extent possible, to the economic and social development of the destination.
  • Constantly work to raise awareness that our activity can generate negative impacts on the environment and the community, and work to minimize and even eliminate them whenever possible.
  • Keep our customer service channel active, either by mail, social networks or sales platforms, in order to improve in areas where there are shortcomings.
